This is a driver class Shelby that presents itself very nicely in person. Several thousand dollars' worth of mechanical work has recently been performed to make it a reliable driver. I have driven this car extensively and it is quite enjoyable. The top works well, factory AM/FM stereo also plays great! All lights, horns, and accessories work.
This was originally an east coast car that went to California in 1980. It was restored somewhere along the way, but I do not know when. It sat in storage from 2004 until I bought it. The car presents itself well when viewed outdoors in natural light, but some paint flaws are visible when it is seen under indoor lighting. The top is in good shape and works well but has a plastic rear window (should be glass). Body fiberglass is all original. I am working on the bow in the hood, the back of the hood is elevated a bit, which aggravates this. Dropping that will help but it is not going to disappear completely. There has been older work to replace the floors and the back end of one rear frame rail. I believe the quarters were also replaced or repaired. The underneath is undercoated with no detailing.
Engine is original matching number, I have verified the VIN stamping on the block. The carb has been replaced with a Holley. I believe the rest of the driveline is also original. Work is ongoing to improve various cosmetic details, including some moderate upgrades under the hood. The interior has been replaced and is in excellent condition. Some of the photos make it look a bit more ivory, it is actually the proper '69 white. I have the correct blowup spare and jack, etc to go into the trunk.
A full description is presently being prepared. The Marti Report documents the color combination as factory original, plus the various options. This car is really loaded, plus it has a factory style intermittent wiper system (not shown on the report).
